Plan selection
Start with an unlocked, eSIM-compatible device. Then compare the data allowance and validity against your whole itinerary. A border crossing is not a reason to assume that either allowance or validity starts again.
US coverage and routing location answer different questions. A plan can list the United States while reporting routing elsewhere. Read the routing and network fields separately; neither a destination label nor a 5G feature establishes the local carrier, signal or speed at your stop.
If you will share data with a laptop, check the selected plan’s hotspot feature and budget for that use. Check top-up support before relying on more data later; the owned eSIM must also offer an eligible top-up when you need it.
