Residential proxies by the GB
Buy residential proxy traffic as you need it, with one GB balance for residential and mobile connections. The residential pool uses opt-in peer devices in the partner network. Choose the country and rotation in your proxy username, then connect over HTTP or SOCKS5. Check the live country list before ordering for a particular market.

What you are buying
How residential traffic reaches a site.
Your client opens a normal HTTP or SOCKS5 connection to our gateway. The gateway reads the username, picks a device that is online in the country you named, and forwards the request out of it. The pool is shared and the devices use a mix of home broadband and mobile connections: one can drop at any moment, and another takes the next request.
Where the traffic comes from
Mobile traffic runs on carrier modems operated by our network partner; residential traffic runs on opt-in peer devices in the partner network.
We never list the exit IPs of a pool. How we source traffic →

Rotation and protocols
Choose the exit behaviour in the username.
| Mode | Token | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Per-connection rotationThe gateway selects an exit for each connection. Addresses can repeat; use this mode when no continuing proxy session is needed. | rot-ondemand | The gateway selects an exit for each connection. Addresses can repeat; use this mode when no continuing proxy session is needed. |
| Timed rotation: 5, 10, 20 or 60 minutesThe exit changes on a clock rather than per request. auto10 is the default when no rot token is given. | rot-auto5 · auto10 · auto20 · auto60 | The exit changes on a clock rather than per request. auto10 is the default when no rot token is given. |
| Sticky sessionThe same session name returns to the same device while it is online. A sticky session keeps the same device. The carrier may still change the IP of that device. | sid-<name> + rot-sticky | The same session name returns to the same device while it is online. A sticky session keeps the same device. The carrier may still change the IP of that device. |
When to use rotating IPs or sticky proxy sessions.
Two protocols, one credential
HTTP CONNECT on port 7000 and SOCKS5 on port 7001, same username and password. In clients such as curl, socks5h sends the destination hostname to the proxy for resolution.
Choose between HTTP and SOCKS5, or check SOCKS5 compatibility before buying.
Many connections at once
One credential serves many parallel connections and sessions, with no fee per connection. The gateway answers 429 when your account limit is reached; the limit is in your dashboard.
When a country is empty
A country with no device online answers 502 with E_NO_STOCK_COUNTRY rather than sending you somewhere else. Retry shortly, or pick another country.

--proxy-user "USERNAME-peer-mx-sid-cart7-rot-sticky" \
"https://api.portproof.org/v1/echo-ip"Replace USERNAME with the account part of your username from the dashboard after a fulfilled purchase. Choose one example in an interactive terminal and enter your password when curl prompts. Use a country with devices online now in this pool; a country page alone does not confirm availability. The transfer timeout does not set a deadline for entering the password.
Test the connection with curl for response checks and troubleshooting, or use the setup reference for username tokens and Python, Node and Playwright snippets.

Pay as you go: buy a GB amount before running your job and add more when you need it. Mobile and residential traffic use the same balance. GB never expire. View the full price list.
Prices per GB in EUR, by the size of one order. VAT not applicable: the seller is not registered for VAT.
Start small
Try 0.5 GB for EUR 2.90, once per customer, on either shared pool. Check current countries before testing. Standard orders start at 1 GB; the table shows the rate for each order size.
Verification
Proxy traffic up to 50 GB per rolling 30 days does not require company verification. Above that threshold, a business check is required. You accept the terms and acceptable-use policy at checkout.
Plan your proxy trial: check one permitted task, validate its result, then measure traffic per completed run.
Before a larger order
Check the task, then choose the GB amount.
1. Confirm the route
Check the country’s current availability and run a small connection test. Use the curl check or the guide for your client.
2. Validate useful results
Run an authorised sample of your actual task. Check response contents and session continuity, then count completed tasks and failed attempts.
3. Estimate the workload
Use measured traffic and your schedule in the bandwidth calculator. Compare the order sizes above and check the final total at checkout.
Planning a permitted collector? Choose proxies for web scraping with a sample that measures complete records, failed attempts and transferred data.
Choosing a pool
When residential is the right pool.
Choose Residential when
- You need to test how your own site or a permitted data source responds over a peer-network connection.
- Your job needs a country currently available in the residential pool; check the live list before choosing it.
Choose Mobile 4G/5G when
Choose mobile when the job specifically requires a carrier-network exit. Keep the browser, viewport and account settings consistent when comparing the two pools; the network address alone does not select a desktop or phone layout. Both pools use the same GB balance.
Use cases
What people buy this traffic for.
- Price and marketplace monitoringTrack public shop and marketplace prices from the markets you serve. Choose mobile or residential traffic by the GB, and record each offer’s full context so your price tracking compares like with like.
- Ad verification and brand safetyCheck your campaign pages from a carrier or residential connection, with the browser settings and test conditions recorded alongside the result.
- Market research and local searchCompare permitted offers, catalogues and search results with the network route, browser settings and account state recorded alongside each observation.
- QA and geo-testingCheck your own site with the requested network route, browser settings and expected result recorded for each test.
- AI agents and data pipelinesOne credential an agent can steer itself: pool, country and session are tokens in the username.
Questions
Answers before you buy.
- What is a residential proxy?
- A residential proxy routes your request through an opt-in peer device. The pool includes home broadband and mobile peer connections; it does not guarantee a particular access network. Mobile traffic runs on carrier modems operated by our network partner; residential traffic runs on opt-in peer devices in the partner network. You connect to our gateway over HTTP or SOCKS5 and name the country in the username.
- Which countries can I use, and how many devices are online?
- Residential runs in the countries listed with live availability on the locations page. The counts on this page come straight from our stock endpoint and are labelled "online now"; when the endpoint does not answer we show no figure at all rather than an old one. Pools are shared between customers and change through the day, so read the count before a large run.
- Can I buy proxy traffic as I need it?
- Yes. Buy a GB amount before you use it and add more when needed. The price per GB is set by the size of each order, and one balance covers both shared pools. GB never expire. What you buy stays on your balance until you use it; a new purchase adds to the same balance. The table on this page shows the rates; checkout confirms your order total.
- How does rotation work, and what does a sticky session guarantee?
- Rotation is a token in the username: per-connection selection with rot-ondemand (addresses can repeat), a timer of 5, 10, 20 or 60 minutes with rot-auto5 to rot-auto60, or a named session with sid and rot-sticky. A sticky session keeps the same device. The carrier may still change the IP of that device. We do not sell fixed IP addresses on this product, and the pools are shared.
- When should I choose Residential rather than Mobile 4G/5G?
- Choose Residential when any of these is true. You need to test how your own site or a permitted data source responds over a peer-network connection. Your job needs a country currently available in the residential pool; check the live list before choosing it. Otherwise: choose mobile when the job specifically requires a carrier-network exit. Keep the browser, viewport and account settings consistent when comparing the two pools; the network address alone does not select a desktop or phone layout. Both pools use the same GB balance.
- What may I not use it for?
- The lawful jobs we sell for are price and marketplace monitoring, ad verification, market research, QA and geo-testing, and AI agents and data pipelines. We refuse social multi-accounting, sneaker and ticket bots, betting arbitrage, sybil airdrop farming, bonus abuse, credential stuffing, and anything against the law of the exit country. You accept the acceptable-use policy at every checkout, and up to 50 GB per rolling 30 days needs no company verification.
