About

Who runs this, and where the traffic comes from.

Who we are, where the traffic comes from, what we commit to and which policies apply.

Who we are

Portproof

Portproof sells proxy traffic by the GB: one balance that works on a Mobile 4G/5G pool in six countries and a residential pool in about 120. You get an invoice for every order, a support address that is answered within one business day, and written policies.

Payments
Payments are accepted in cryptocurrency. Every order gets an invoice. VAT not applicable: the seller is not registered for VAT.

Sourcing

Where the traffic comes from

Mobile traffic runs on carrier modems operated by our network partner; residential traffic runs on opt-in peer devices in the partner network.

Mobile 4G/5G
Carrier modems with SIM cards in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands, Poland and Georgia (country), operated by our network partner. Exit addresses belong to the mobile carriers.
Residential
Devices whose owners opted in to share bandwidth in the partner network: a mix of home broadband and mobile connections in about 120 countries. The devices online change through the day.
What we operate
The shop, accounts, billing, the API, usage metering and alerts, support, and the enforcement of the acceptable-use policy. The gateway and the devices are operated by the network partner under contract.
What we do not claim
The pools are shared: many customers use them at the same time, and no address is reserved for you. A sticky session keeps the same device. The carrier may still change the IP of that device. We never publish or list the exit IPs of a pool.
Availability figures
Every count on this site is the number of devices online now, read from the network and cached for a minute. When the figure is unavailable we show none.

Commitments

What we commit to

Metering
Traffic is counted at the gateway in both directions and synced to your balance every five minutes. You get an alert at 80 percent and when the balance is used up.
No expiry
GB never expire. What you buy stays on your balance until you use it; a new purchase adds to the same balance.
Refunds
Unused whole GB are refundable within 14 days of purchase, to the original payment method or your account balance.

Support

How to reach us
