Acceptable-use policy · draft v0 · 2026-09
Acceptable use
Portproof sells mobile and residential proxy traffic for research, verification and testing. You accept this policy at every checkout. This policy lists what is prohibited, how it is enforced, and what happens to the term when it is broken.
1. Prohibited uses
The seventeen prohibited categories of an industry-standard proxy acceptable-use policy form the baseline (unauthorised access, fraud, malware distribution, harassment, infringement of others' rights, unlawful content, and so on). In addition, the following are prohibited regardless of jurisdiction:
- social multi-accounting
- sneaker and ticket bots
- betting arbitrage
- sybil airdrop farming
- bonus abuse
- credential stuffing
- buyers who will not complete the business check when it is required
- any entity established in Russia or Belarus
- unauthorised resale or sub-licensing of credentials or ports
- attacks on critical infrastructure
- access to sanctioned destinations or on behalf of sanctioned persons
2. Technical restrictions
- The gateway denies TCP 25, 465, 587, 23, 135-139, 445, 1433, 3389 and 5900, RFC1918 and carrier-internal ranges; ICMP is rate-limited.
- Default-deny destination categories (banking, government, webmail, ticketing, gambling, streaming, Russian and Belarusian address space, INHOPE URL lists) are unlocked per category with a logged justification and, where required, the Attested tier.
- Connection and session limits apply per account and are shown in the dashboard; the gateway answers 429 when one is reached. Proxy traffic above 50 GB per rolling 30 days requires a business check.
3. Monitoring and enforcement
Monitoring is metadata-only: no payload, URLs or per-flow records are inspected or stored. Anomaly rules (more than 500 distinct destination IPs per minute, more than 50 new connections per second, SMTP attempts, destinations on abuse feeds) throttle and alert. Suspension follows a credible notice; termination and forfeiture of the current term follow a confirmed violation, with unused prepaid balances refunded to source. Abuse reports go to abuse@portproof.org and are answered within 24 hours.
4. Resellers and referrals
Traffic and ports are wholesaled only under a written reseller agreement with flow-down KYB to the T1 standard, an obligation to identify the end user within 48 hours of a lawful request, audit rights and per-credential suspension. Buyers declined under this policy are never referred anywhere for a commission.
5. What Portproof does not do
No SMS inboxes or verification, no eSIM retail, no OS or TCP fingerprint spoofing, no DNS or WebRTC "masking", no "undetectable" marketing, no account-shop or CAPTCHA-bypass partner listings, no anonymous accounts.
