- What counts as traffic?
- Every byte that passes through the gateway on your credentials, upload and download together, including the overhead of TLS and of requests that fail at the destination. Usage in the dashboard and the API is refreshed every five minutes; you get an alert at 80 percent of your balance and another when it is used up.
- Do GB expire?
- No. GB never expire: what you buy stays on your balance until you use it, and a new purchase adds to the same balance. Your balance is always shown in the dashboard.
- Mobile or residential: which one do I need?
- Mobile 4G/5G exits through carrier modems in six countries: the United States, the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands, Poland and Georgia (country). Residential exits through opt-in peer devices in about 120 countries, a mix of home broadband and mobile connections. Mobile traffic runs on carrier modems operated by our network partner; residential traffic runs on opt-in peer devices in the partner network. Both pools cost the same and use the same balance, so you can choose per request.
- How do rotation and sticky sessions work?
- Rotation is part of the username. Choose a new IP on every connection, a timer of 5, 10, 20 or 60 minutes, or a sticky session with a session name. A sticky session keeps the same device. The carrier may still change the IP of that device. We do not sell fixed IP addresses on this product.
